Morris Law Group Sees No Limits For Mobility Impaired Golfers

17 Aug 2010

On Thursday, September 2nd, 2010, The Morris Law Group and The Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario – Hamilton Region (CPAO Hamilton) are hosting an event for golfers with physical disabilities to try out the sport in an entirely new way – with No Limits.

On hand will be four state-of-the-art SoloRider golf carts (www.solorider.com) that enable mobility-impaired golfers to play golf with the help of an electric, 230 degree swivel seat.  The patented swivel seat enables a full-arc golf swing from the assisted-standing position. The device also has bi-lateral ergonomic hand controls and turf-friendly tires, making it a perfect way for people of varying disabilities to once again enjoy a game of golf. Following a demonstration of the SoloRider, CPAO members are invited to stay, get swing tips from the club pro and try out one of the single rider carts on site.

“The Morris Law Group has been a long-time supporter of The Canadian Paraplegic Association and is always looking for ways to help spinal cord survivors get back out into the community and live their lives again. Our No Limits programs are a perfect fit,” comments Chelsea Crealock, Community Development Coordinator at the CPAO – Hamilton. “The No Limits Club seeks to instil a “can-do” attitude with persons of various disabilities – showing them there are no limits to what they can do and allowing them to participate in activities with family and friends again.”

The No Limits Golf-Club Day, courtesy of The Morris Law Group, is being held at the Flamborough Hills Golf and Country Club and is open to all CPAO members, but limited spaces are available and spots are filling up quickly. Interested members are asked to confirm their participation at the event with Chelsea Chrealock at 905-516-7774 to ensure that enough single rider carts are available on-site.
