Sumitra joined the firm in 2004 as an articling student and returned as an associate following her call in 2005. She practices personal injury litigation which includes motor vehicle accidents, fatalities claims, disability insurance claims, accident benefit claims, product liability claims, Canada Pension Plan appeals, and FSCO arbitrations.

Sumitra grew up in the National Capital Region and is bilingual in English and French. She received her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph, and received her law degree from the University of Western Ontario.

She is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, Hamilton Law Association and the Hamilton Medical-Legal Society. In addition to her involvement in the legal community, Sumitra is an avid runner who plays and coaches on local soccer teams.
