Born and raised in Hamilton, Jonah Waxman graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts, specializing in Philosophy, where he was on the Dean's Honour List for four consecutive years. He then completed his legal studies at the University of Windsor. Jonah was called to the bar in 2012.
As an associate of the firm, Jonah has primary carriage over numerous complex personal injury matters, including those relating to medical malpractice, professional negligence, product liability, assault and battery, motor vehicle accidents, and slip and falls. Jonah is skilled at navigating clients through the legal and emotional complexities of a lawsuit, all the while ensuring that they feel understood and informed.
Jonah has extensive trial experience, both jury and judge alone, having taken several matters to conclusion. He has also argued numerous matters before both the Ontario Superior Court of Justice as well as a variety of administrative tribunals.
Jonah is a member of the Hamilton Law Association and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. He has been asked to speak at Hamilton General Hospital with respect to healthcare costs in the motor vehicle accident context, and has presented mock trial demonstrations at conferences before the Hamilton legal community. Jonah is also a regular contributor to the OTLA Medical Malpractice Newsletter.
Outside of work, he is an active volunteer with both Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Hamilton & Burlington and the Brain Injury Society of Toronto.
