Brain Injuries

A brain injury (or TBI) occurs when an outside force causes trauma to the brain resulting in bruising or swelling. TBI can be classified based on severity or mechanism (closed or penetrating head injury). Closed, or non-penetrating head injuries are more difficult to diagnose as symptoms may not surface initially after an accident. Symptoms include loss of consciousness, headache, change in sleeping behaviour, memory loss and fatigue. In any case it is important to seek medical attention immediately for proper assessment and treatment which may include specialized rehabilitation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychological therapy.

Because many brain injuries are difficult to assess, insurance companies often delay or deny individual claims making the process of healing a frustrating ordeal. The Morris Law Group has been practising personal injury law in the Golden Horseshoe Area* for over 50 years and is experienced in all the intricacies of brain injury law and the stringent and often frustrating regulations of insurance claims. We ensure that your rights are preserved and that you receive the personal attention you deserve. Our firm offers in-house Accident Benefit consultants to help simplify the claims process and also provides an onsite Health Professional to ensure you get the proper medical attention required.

If you or a loved one has been experienced a brain injury, call The Morris Law Group at 905-526-8080 or toll free at 1-877-464-4466 for a free consultation with one of our experienced personal injury lawyers. We work on a contingency basis, meaning there is no cost to you unless there is a monetary recovery of funds.

* The Golden Horseshoe Area is centered around the western end of Lake Ontario and is comprised of the following major cities: Niagara Falls, St. Catherines, Grimbsy, Stoney Creek, Hamilton, Ancaster, Brantford, Burlington, Kitchener-Waterloo, Oakville and Mississauga.
