Is there a statute of limitations, a time limit, or any other deadlines for making a personal injury claim?
Ontario’s statute of limitations varies depending on a number of factors. For example, a child is allowed to file a lawsuit beyond the standard limitation period – this is thanks to an historic case won by William Morris at the Supreme Court of Canada in 1993.
If you don’t start the claim process within a certain time frame, your rights may be jeopardized. To avoid this possibility, it is critical for you to contact The Morris Law Group as soon as possible to begin the claims process. If you are unable to travel for whatever reason, we will meet with you in the hospital or at your home. We will review your claim with you and start working immediately.
